Cloud9 Reportedly Lets Tactical Explore Offers for 2027
Cloud9 has reportedly allowed ADC Edward “Tactical” Ra to speak with other teams ahead of 2027, while he remains under contract through Nov. 20, 2028.
Cloud9 has reportedly given Edward “Tactical” Ra permission to explore offers from other teams before the 2027 League of Legends season. The permission allows the ADC to hold talks while remaining under contract with Cloud9. No transfer has been confirmed, and the organization has not announced Tactical’s departure or named a replacement.
Cloud9 is considering changes at ADC after Tactical won the starting position during the second half of the 2026 season. He joined the team on June 25, 2026, after winning the North American Challengers League with Conviction. He initially shared the position with Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen before becoming Cloud9’s primary ADC.
The roster changes also included Lee “Loki” Sang-min replacing Eain “APA” Stearns in mid lane. Cloud9 finished third in the second 2026 LCS split and qualified for Worlds after missing the previous two editions. The team reached the lower-bracket final of the domestic playoffs before losing 3-1 to LYON on Oct. 3.
Cloud9 then lost 3-1 to Brazilian team FURIA in the Worlds 2026 Play-In Stage on Oct. 16. The result eliminated Cloud9 from the tournament.
Zven and APA were previously reported to be leaving Cloud9 after losing their starting positions. Their contracts have since been terminated, according to the report. Tactical is the organization’s main remaining ADC under contract, while Cloud9 reviews options for 2027.
Sajed “sajed” Ziade, Kim “Berserker” Min-cheol, Fahad “Massu” Abdulmalek and Sean “Yeon” Sung are among the North American ADCs nearing the end of their contracts. No information confirms that any of them are negotiating with Cloud9, and no advanced talks involving Tactical have been reported.
