Bobeksde leads Alliance to comeback win over Nemesis
Alliance rallied to beat Nemesis 2-1 in the XSE Pro League Guangzhou quarter-finals, losing Nuke 8-13 then winning Inferno and Ancient 13-7; Jonatan ‘bobeksde’ Persson was 27-11 on Ancient.
Jonatan ‘bobeksde’ Persson led Alliance to a 2-1 comeback win over Nemesis in the XSE Pro League Guangzhou quarter-finals.
Alliance lost the opening map Nuke 8-13, then won Inferno 13-7 and Ancient 13-7. On Inferno Persson posted a 1.86 rating. On Ancient he finished 27-11 with a 2.22 rating, won six opening duels and recorded eight multi-kill rounds.
Across the series Persson had 65 kills and 36 deaths, an average damage per round of 106.8 and a KAST of 78.7%, with an overall rating of 1.75. Simon ‘twist’ Eliasson went 44-38 with a 1.20 rating; Arvid ‘avid’ Åberg was 37-38 with a 1.04 rating; Sean ‘eraa’ Knutsson finished 46-39 with a 0.97 rating; Markus ‘upE’ Johansson recorded 29-36 with a 0.85 rating.
For Nemesis, Daniil ‘Sdaim’ Tupov had a 39-43 K-D, an ADR of 85.2 and a 1.14 rating. Philipp ‘tex1y’ Moskvitin finished 46-44 with a 1.09 rating. Ivan ‘SELLTER’ Miroshnikov went 27-50 with an ADR of 55.4 and a 0.65 rating.
Alliance’s recent results include a ROG JOURNEY Spring title, third-place finishes at Roman Imperium Cup VI and DraculaN Season 6, and a ROG JOURNEY Summer win three weeks ago. In the XSE Pro League group stage they beat Ninjas in Pyjamas, B8 and 9z and only lost to PARIVISION. The team narrowly missed IEM Cologne Major qualification and did not complete a permanent transfer for Liam ‘MaiL09’ Tügel in June; Persson joined Alliance after that period.
With the quarter-final victory Alliance advance to the XSE semi-finals and will face 9z in a rematch. Nemesis were eliminated from the XSE Pro League playoff bracket.
