BESTIA parts with tomaszin; player linked to MIBR
BESTIA announced the departure of Tomas “tomaszin” Corna. He is reportedly set to join MIBR to replace benched Breno “brnz4n” Poletto.
BESTIA announced the departure of Tomas “tomaszin” Corna. The 22-year-old rifler is reportedly set to join MIBR as a replacement for Breno “brnz4n” Poletto.
Tomaszin spent more than three years with BESTIA, compiling a 1.16 rating and helping the team win DraculaN Season 4. He posted a 1.42 rating across nine maps at the Perfect World Shanghai Major Americas RMR, where BESTIA finished the event with a 2-3 record and did not advance.
The announcement follows roster changes that included moving Ignacio “nacho” Rodriguez to the bench on August 18, leaving BESTIA with three active players. BESTIA’s active lineup lists Cássio “cass1n” Santos, Nicolás “buda” Kramer and Cristhian “timo” Perez, with Gustavo “tge” Motta as coach and nacho on the bench.
BESTIA pursued a heavy LAN schedule earlier in the year in an attempt to qualify for the IEM Cologne Major, attending multiple events and finishing 3-4th at Urban Riga Open Season 4 after consecutive runner-up results at prior LANs. The team has dropped to 80th on the Global VRS and 13th in the Americas rankings, placing them outside the invitation range for PGL Major Singapore and prompting roster rebuilding.
Tomaszin drew interest from other organizations during the off-season. Legacy targeted him after failing to sign Felipe “insani” Yuji, but negotiations stalled when Vinicius “n1ssim” Pereira returned to Legacy’s active roster. Reports now link tomaszin to MIBR as the organization looks to fill the spot left by benched brnz4n.
BESTIA’s departure statement read: “There are players who leave a lifelong mark, and without a doubt, tomaszin is one of them. Today, we have to part ways — we’ll stop being your teammates to become your #1 fans as you shine and chase your dreams.”
Tomaszin’s exit reduces BESTIA’s veteran depth and ends a multi-year spell in which he served as the team’s primary rifler. The reported transfer to MIBR has not been confirmed by the involved clubs.
