BC Game pauses Masters events after partner talks

BC Game announced it has paused upcoming BC Game Masters tournaments, including the online BC Game Masters Female series, following discussions with a commercial partner. The organizer wrote the pause is not related to operations, finances, delivery or competitive integrity.

The announcement did not include a restart date or a timeline for resuming the series.

BC Game held two LAN events earlier in 2024: the inaugural Masters Championship LAN in Bucharest, Romania, in March, and Masters Championship Season 2 in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. Each LAN offered $50,000 in prize money.

BC Game confirmed all prize money from tournaments that have already concluded will be paid to winners and participants.

The first season of Female Masters was scheduled as an online European event from June 27 to July 26 with a $25,000 prize pool. Entrants and teams who registered were notified of the suspension.

The company provided no details on refunds for entries in postponed events or how the pause will affect future scheduling. BC Game indicated it will communicate updates to participants and partners when arrangements are clarified.
