AwaykeN sets CS2 LAN single-map kill record

Slaven “AwaykeN” Lyubenov, a 23-year-old Bulgarian player for INFURITY, posted 62 kills in a single map during the group stage of Urban Riga Open Season 7 in Riga, Latvia. INFURITY lost the map 29-31 to Inner Circle Academy.

The map was closely contested. AwaykeN led INFURITY with 62 kills while teammates recorded lower totals: Tuomas “oontoma” Karsikas 37, Tobias “shyyne” Sæther 37, Bogdan “CHANKY” Șerban 38 and Emil “sirius” Standal 29. On Inner Circle Academy, Dmytro “L1seYoung” Liebidynskii had 55 kills, Artem “Flierax” Khioara 44, Dmytro “NaYz” Khylchuk 39, Vladyslav “Tamefear” Yurchenko 37 and Volodymyr “3ippoch” Sivak 36.

AwaykeN’s 62-kill total breaks the previous LAN single-map record of 60, set nearly a year earlier by Alexander “Altekz” Givskov and Nils “k1to” Gruhne during Digital Crusade DraculaN Season 2. In the compiled list of all CS2 matches, including non-LAN games, the highest totals remain Adrian “xelex” Vincze with 67 kills and Dmitry “sstiNiX” Khlebnikov with 63 kills. AwaykeN’s 62 is tied with other 62-kill performances for third highest overall.

The record was achieved on LAN, where match conditions and official timing are tracked for formal statistics. Urban Riga Open Season 7 continues in Riga with remaining group-stage matches. Tournament officials will record AwaykeN’s single-map total in the official LAN statistics for CS2.
