1win upset Spirit to reach ESL Pro League playoffs

1win defeated Spirit 2-0 to secure a place in the ESL Pro League Season 24 playoffs. Vladislav “nafany” Gorshkov’s team won Cache 13-5 and Anubis 13-9, while Spirit moved into a deciding 2-2 match.

1win opened Cache with a 4-0 lead on the attacking side. Spirit tied the score at 4-4, but 1win won the final four rounds of the half to lead 8-4. After taking the second-half pistol round, 1win allowed Spirit one more round before closing the map 13-5.

1win also started strongly on Anubis, taking the first five rounds on attack. The team led 9-3 at halftime. Spirit won six of the next seven rounds after the side change and moved ahead 10-9, but 1win won the closing rounds to take the map 13-9 and complete the series.

Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov led the series with 33 kills and a 1.51 rating. Artem “ArtFr0st” Kharitonov recorded 27 kills and a 1.41 rating, while Andrey “BELCHONOKK” Yasinskiy finished with 33 kills.

The result lifted 1win to 14th in the VRS rankings. The team lost to Vitality in its opening group-stage match before beating G2, Legacy and Spirit.

A fifth- through eighth-place finish at the ESL Pro League is estimated to give 1win an 87% chance of receiving an invitation to the Singapore Major. A top-four finish would raise the estimate to about 95%.

Spirit must win its next match in the 2-2 stage to remain in the playoff race.
