Zero lifts TYLOO to 2-0 win over SINNERS at IEM Cologne
Su “Zero” Jingshen’s ace and back-to-back four-kill rounds powered TYLOO to a 2-0 victory over SINNERS at the IEM Cologne Major, including a 16-14 OT on Ancient.
TYLOO remained in contention at the IEM Cologne Major after Su “Zero” Jingshen produced key multi-kill rounds to beat SINNERS 2-0 on Ancient and Inferno. The result keeps TYLOO in the tournament and eliminates SINNERS from the event.
On Ancient, SINNERS opened an 8-4 lead and, after losing the pistol, extended to 12-7 on their CT side. TYLOO narrowed the gap by converting rounds where SINNERS overextended on peeks and in duels. Zero delivered an ace late in regulation to force overtime and followed with consecutive four-kill rounds in the extra frames to complete a 16-14 map win.
Inferno began with TYLOO setting a fast T-side pace, but SINNERS regained control once they secured gun rounds. A second-half pistol win gave SINNERS a path to victory, but TYLOO responded through late-round stops. Jingxiang “Mercury” Wang stopped a mid take with a three-kill play and Dongkai “Jee” Ji added decisive frags as SINNERS failed to close out rounds. TYLOO ran seven straight rounds to seal the second map and the series.
Zero finished the match 43-34 with an average damage per round of 80.5 and a 1.26 rating. Mădălin-Andrei “MoDo” Mirea led SINNERS with a 41-29 line and an 84.4 ADR and recorded a 1.13 rating. Other TYLOO numbers included Yi “JamYoung” Yang at 33-36 (69.9 ADR), Jingxiang “Mercury” Wang at 29-36 (75.9 ADR), Qianhao “Moseyuh” Chen at 32-38 (63.3 ADR) and Dongkai “Jee” Ji at 30-32 (61.4 ADR). After the match, SINNERS captain Sebastian “beastik” Daňo addressed the broadcast, saying he had tried for years to return to this stage and that his team struggled on T side. He added that TYLOO appeared to know SINNERS’ plans or that their own calls had been too predictable.
The win keeps TYLOO’s Major campaign alive at IEM Cologne while SINNERS exit the tournament.
