Vitality eliminated FaZe 2-0 at the Esports World Cup on 21 August 2026, winning Dust2 13-11 and Cache 13-6 to advance to the quarter-finals, where they will play Spirit.

On Dust2, Vitality opened with an early lead on their T side. FaZe recovered with force-buy rounds and took control of parts of the half, but two lost force-buy rounds allowed Vitality to level the score before halftime. FaZe began the second half on the CT side and reached 10-7, but a failed response to a force-buy let Vitality back into the match. Vitality won a sequence of late rounds to close Dust2 13-11.

Cache, a new map in the pool, produced a clearer margin. FaZe dropped early pistol rounds without armour, giving Vitality control of tempo and the defensive side. Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut led Vitality on Cache, posting a 2.22 map rating and recording 42 kills. Vitality converted a CT pistol win into a strong first half and finished the map 13-6.

FaZe lost multiple pistol rounds and several force-buy rounds across both maps. Those round losses were followed by runs of rounds from Vitality that affected the scorelines on Dust2 and Cache.

Vitality will face Spirit in the quarter-finals. Vitality have not lost to Spirit since 2024, when Audric “JACKZ” Jug appeared as a stand-in for one of the teams.
