VALORANT Patch 13.09 Adds Hush and Buffs the Warden
VALORANT Patch 13.09 adds telekinetic Agent Hush, improves the Warden’s recoil control and standardizes ability descriptions and HUD terms.
VALORANT Patch 13.09 introduces Hush, a telekinetic Agent from Guangdong province. Her abilities focus on moving and controlling opponents. Telekinesis lets her pull items from a distance, while Displacement pulls and concusses enemies. Flashbulb creates steerable blinds, Flow provides aerial movement, and Suspension lifts targets into the air.
The patch revises ability descriptions in Agent Select, the Agent Hub and ability tooltips. The updated text includes each Agent’s name, role and relevant keybinds. Passive abilities such as Neon’s Battery now appear in these areas as well.
Riot has added the HUD terms “Haste” and “Snapshot.” Haste describes increased movement speed, while Snapshot describes a still-image silhouette reveal, including effects from Cypher’s Neural Theft and Spycam. Haste indicators now appear for Brimstone’s Stim Beacon, Clove’s Pick-Me-Up, Miks’ Harmonize, Neon’s High Gear and Overdrive, and Waylay’s Convergent Paths.
Clove’s Pick-Me-Up movement-speed bonus has been reduced from 15% to 10%. Players who kill Clove after Not Dead Yet is cast now receive an ultimate point and a signature refresh point. Jett’s passive has been removed from the Buy Menu because it cannot be purchased.
The Warden received recoil and handling changes to improve control at its 2,900-credit price. Pitch recoil is smoother during the first bullets of a firing sequence. Follow-up shot spread error has been reduced from 0.25 to 0.20 for the second bullet and from 0.60 to 0.50 for the third.
Hush is the first Agent released with the new Performance Score system. Her score may change during her first few days in the game. On PC, players can hover over the end-of-match scoreboard to view trade information and open a separate explanation screen.
Act Best Match performance now has more influence on Act Map Ratings, giving greater weight to a player’s strongest games and consistency. The threshold for earning the First Blood Accolade has increased, while existing accolade totals remain unchanged. Players in South Korea can now buy Radianite Points from the in-game store.
The patch fixes Agent, general, spectator and platform issues. Changes include corrected Vulnerable visual effects on Wingman, Turret and Boom Bot; improved placement indicators for Guided Salvo and Orbital Strike; and fixes for minimap reveals involving Chamber and Omen after teleports.
The update also fixes Buy Phase line-of-sight issues affecting Cypher, Vyse, Viper and Killjoy abilities. Veto and Vyse interaction text now reads “RECALL.” Other fixes address duplicated ability-map charges, missing cursors, minimap nearsight reveals and concealed flashes.
Spectator fixes prevent Neon’s Fast Lane effects from disappearing when watching the Spike and correct notification icon positions on new Player Cards. On PC, the patch fixes cursor disappearance outside ability-map boundaries. On consoles, it restores controller haptic feedback for Miks’ M-Pulse and Bassquake abilities.
