TYLOO Favored to Replace Legacy at Asian Event

Legacy withdrew from the upcoming Asian event after the June 1 deadline, activating the tournament rule that late replacements must come from the host region. The event is scheduled about three weeks after the withdrawal announcement.

The rulebook specifies two replacement paths. If a team pulls out on or before June 1, organizers may select a replacement from the global valid replacement system (VRS). If a withdrawal occurs after June 1, the replacement must be a team from the host region, in this case Asia. The VRS list includes teams such as NRG, Wildcard, FOKUS, TYLOO and Nemiga for earlier withdrawals.

Organizers require any replacement team to demonstrate within 24 hours that they can enter the host country. That requirement is intended to limit visa problems when events are close. With roughly three weeks until the tournament, teams already able to obtain travel clearance quickly have an advantage.

Community trackers showed TYLOO at global rank 34 on May 4, placing them as the next eligible Asian team after the lowest-ranked squad already in the field, SINNERS at rank 30. Other Asia-based options include Lynn Vision and THUNDERdOWNUNDER. Community discussion has focused on which ranking snapshot organizers will use to determine eligibility: the standings when initial invitations were issued or the current rankings.

Under the current timetable, TYLOO is the leading candidate if the team accepts an invite and can meet the 24-hour entry proof requirement. Any confirmation requires organizers to issue an official invitation, TYLOO to accept, and verification of travel documents and visa eligibility within the specified window before the replacement is listed on the roster.

Had Legacy withdrawn on or before June 1, the replacement process would have been handled through the global VRS list rather than the host-region rule. The final choice will depend on the invitation being extended and the replacement team completing the entry checks in the allotted time.
