TCL Extends Gentle Mates Deal, Launches Two Mini-LED Monitors

TCL renewed its partnership with French esports club Gentle Mates for a fourth year and will launch two co-branded mini-LED gaming monitors in France.

TCL and French esports organisation Gentle Mates renewed their commercial partnership for a fourth consecutive year and announced two co-branded mini-LED gaming monitors. The extension was disclosed by executives from both companies.

The new monitors are positioned for competitive play, using mini-LED backlighting to increase brightness and contrast while targeting fast response times and high refresh rates. The collaboration combines Gentle Mates’ competitive experience with TCL’s display manufacturing capabilities to shape product features and marketing.

Patrick Boudinski, General Manager for France at TCL Europe, described the renewal as ‘underscoring the sustained commercial viability of the activation.’ He added the agreement gives TCL a consistent platform in France to promote its monitor lines through Gentle Mates’ digital channels and community reach.

The timing coincides with a busy period for French esports. Karmine Corp won the Rocket League Championship Series Paris Major. The Esports World Cup 2026 was relocated from Riyadh to Paris and is scheduled for July 6–August 23, 2026. Global Esports Industry Week will run June 18–21, 2026, in Cologne alongside IEM Cologne.

TCL has expanded esports sponsorships globally, including deals with FURIA and EYEBALLERS. Competing display and consumer electronics brands have also secured multi-year rights in esports: ZOWIE extended an exclusivity arrangement with ESL FACEIT Group through 2027, and ASUS ROG, LG Electronics, Samsung and AGON by AOC have signed multi-year partnerships across professional and collegiate circuits.

The Gentle Mates agreement covers product co-branding and local community engagement in France. Gentle Mates will receive ongoing hardware support and promotional opportunities tied to player and content activities. TCL will use the partnership to promote its monitor models in the French market ahead of the summer esports calendar.
