TaZ: BC.Game fought until the end in narrow EWC exit

BC.Game were knocked out of the Esports World Cup after losing Anubis 11-13 to 100 Thieves. Coach Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas praised the team’s resilience and noted a change from earlier in the year.

BC.Game were eliminated from the Esports World Cup after a 11-13 loss on Anubis to 100 Thieves, a match decided by the smallest margins. Jack “Gizmy” von Spreckelsen pulled off a 1v3 to force a deciding map after BC.Game had a chance to close the series in two.

Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas praised his players for fighting until the end and described the performance as different from the team’s early-season play. He highlighted how tight rounds swung the outcome: “CS is a game of small margins. Some rounds you lose an advantage, some you win in a disadvantage, so we can’t really talk much about it, we just need to go back and get better.” He added that the team’s resilience at the end of the match marked a clear change from earlier results.

The roster is in the early stages of a rebuild under new leadership. Emil “Magisk” Reif has taken over as in-game leader, and Ayush “mzinho” Batbold and Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold are recent signings. TaZ outlined stylistic differences within the squad: two players, Sasha and Denis, come from a structured approach to Counter-Strike, while mzinho and Senzu favour a freer, creativity-driven style. This is the unit’s second LAN together.

TaZ pointed to specific areas for improvement. He warned the team has been missing utility and forgetting set tactics at times, and said practice should focus on late-round and close-score situations so players react more consistently when advantages shift. “There will be things we will miss… we won’t be perfect,” he said, calling for more drilling in those scenarios.

Despite the elimination, TaZ said the match offered things to build on and that more time and practice should improve coordination and in-game decision making.
