MSI 2026 set for Daejeon as top LoL teams qualify
MSI 2026 runs June 28–July 12 in Daejeon; 11 teams confirmed. T1, Team Liquid, Karmine Corp and Deep Cross Gaming open in Play-In; seven teams are already in the playoffs.
Eleven teams are locked in for the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational, which will take place June 28 to July 12 at Daejeon Convention Center II in Daejeon, South Korea. Four teams-T1, Team Liquid, Karmine Corp and Deep Cross Gaming-will begin in the Play-In, with only one advancing to the playoff bracket.
Seven teams have secured direct berths in the playoff stage: Bilibili Gaming, Top Esports, Hanwha Life Esports, LYON, FURIA, G2 Esports and Secret Whale.
Qualification paths were finalized after the conclusion of the second split across regional leagues. T1 and Hanwha Life Esports qualified via the LCK 2026 Road to MSI. Team Liquid and LYON earned spots from LCS 2026 Spring. G2 Esports and Karmine Corp advanced from LEC 2026 Spring. Bilibili Gaming and Top Esports qualified through LPL 2026 Split 2. FURIA clinched its place through CBLOL 2026 Split 1. Secret Whale qualified from LCP 2026 Split 2, while Deep Cross Gaming made Play-In through LCP Championship Points.
The seven playoff-seeded teams will await the Play-In winner to complete the bracket in Daejeon.
