SteelSeries extends partnership with T1 to co-develop gear

SteelSeries renewed its multi-year deal with T1 to supply headsets and have pro players test and shape hardware and software for League of Legends and VALORANT teams.

SteelSeries has extended its multi-year partnership with South Korean esports organisation T1. The renewed agreement continues SteelSeries’ role as an official supplier of headsets and other gaming peripherals and sets out a co-development programme involving T1 players.

The partnership, which began in 2021, covers T1’s major teams including League of Legends and VALORANT. The companies will coordinate joint marketing, digital events, tournament support and brand activation campaigns during the term of the agreement.

Product development is a central element of the deal. Professional players from T1 will test hardware and dedicated software and provide direct feedback to inform design and feature changes. Players are expected to take part as co-creators, reporting on device performance and usability under competitive conditions.

Jon Koob, SteelSeries’ Global Director of Esports, noted that the company plans to support T1 in launching high-performance products and to work with the organisation on its future esports projects.

T1 chief executive Joe Marsh welcomed the extension and said the partnership has coincided with a successful period for the organisation.

On the business side, T1 recently extended Marsh’s contract through 2029, agreed a commercial partnership with ASUS to produce co-branded Nvidia graphics cards, and reported an operating profit of $1.6 million for 2025, the first operating profit in the organisation’s history.

The companies did not provide a specific timeline for product releases tied to the renewed agreement, and indicated that testing and feature development will continue throughout the contract. Global Esports Industry Week is scheduled for June 18–21, 2026, in Cologne, running alongside IEM Cologne.
