Spirit edges OG in OT to finish day three of BLAST Bounty

On day three of the online stage of BLAST Bounty Season 2, Spirit beat OG 2-1 after an overtime win on Ancient. Spirit won the opening map on Cache, while OG recovered on Dust2, taking a 7-5 lead at halftime and forcing a decider.

Ancient opened with Spirit leading 9-3 on the CT side. Adam ‘adamb’ Ångström mounted a second-half comeback for OG, including an audacious A-site push and several multi-kills that sent the map to overtime. In extra time, Andrey ‘tN1R’ Tatarinovich contributed late kills and Spirit completed several organised attacking rounds to close the map and the series.

FOKUS eliminated Aurora in the first match of the day. FOKUS, which recently added Paavo ‘podi’ Heiskanen and Jacob ‘jocab’ Nerheden, won the decider on Dust2 13-4 and knocked the newly assembled Aurora roster out of the event.

FUT defeated SINNERS 2-1 in Yasin ‘xfl0ud’ Koç’s debut for the team. FUT lost the opening map on Dust2 before winning Ancient and Mirage. On Ancient, xfl0ud posted a 2.24-rated performance and he finished as top-fragger on the Mirage decider. On broadcast, coach András ‘coolio’ Fercsák described the decision to part ways with Laurențiu ‘lauNX’ Țârlea as “50-50”, adding the team had lacked a player who communicated in the middle of the map and that xfl0ud provided more in-game communication.

paiN registered a 2-0 win over Gentle Mates. Gentle Mates fielded stand-in Joey ‘CRUC1AL’ Steusel, who produced a clean pistol ace with Dualies on Inferno and several early multi-kills, but the team lost control on Nuke and dropped the series.

The tournament schedule continues on 24 July 2026 with four matches: 3DMAX versus magic at 09:00, HEROIC versus The MongolZ at 11:30, Liquid versus Vitality at 14:00 and DENDELE versus FURIA at 16:30, according to the event timetable.

Day three statistical highlights included Adam ‘adamb’ Ångström’s second-half impact on Ancient and xfl0ud’s 2.24 rating on Ancient for FUT.
