Spirit edges FaZe 13-11 on Anubis to reach BLAST final

Spirit defeated FaZe 2-1 to become the first grand finalists at BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2, closing the deciding map Anubis 13-11 with a late surge and a last-second bomb plant.

FaZe won the opening map and held early control on the second, forcing a split of Dust2 and Cache. The second map included several swing moments, highlighted by a Deagle triple from Ryan “Neityu” Aubry and a stronger mid-series showing from David “frozen” Čerňanský.

On Anubis, FaZe built a 6-1 lead on the T side before Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov began to find impact with the AWP for Spirit. FaZe converted the second pistol round and pushed the score to 10-5, but Spirit responded with measured, methodical rounds late in the half and into the finish. An aggressive FaZe push through A briefly disrupted Spirit’s momentum, then a FaZe Connector play was punished the following round. Spirit secured the map 13-11 after planting the bomb in the final seconds.

Across the series, sh1ro led Spirit with a 49-31 kill-death line and a 1.24 rating. Boris “magixx” Vorobiev recorded 45 kills and a 1.06 rating, while Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia posted a 38-38 record and a 1.05 rating. Danil “donk” Kryshkovets finished 39-47 with a 0.94 rating. For FaZe, Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken had 43 kills and a 1.10 rating, and frozen ended 40-40 with a 0.99 rating. Neityu’s Deagle triple was a notable moment on the second map.

The result eliminates FaZe from BLAST Bounty Season 2. FaZe sit 13th on the preliminary VRS standings, a few points short of direct invites to ESL Pro League and IEM Beijing, whose invites will be finalized on August 3. The team remains within the invite range for FISSURE Playground 5 after recent top-four finishes following the XSE Pro League run.

Spirit advance to the championship match and will await their opponent for the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 final.
