Spinx: Enjoy server, but team must come first

MOUZ qualified for their first grand final with Oldřich ‘PR’ Nový after a hard-fought semifinal win over Astralis in Malta. The match required eight match points to close and sets up a best-of-five final against Spirit.

Lotan ‘Spinx’ Giladi called the result the most important outcome, adding: “We won the semifinal, first tournament, first final for us.” He said MOUZ performed well on Dust2 and Mirage but left rounds unclaimed on both maps, and that their Ancient pick failed to click early in the series.

Giladi flagged the team’s CT play and in-game chemistry as areas to improve. He pointed to repeated situations on the B site where he and PR created opportunities but did not convert, and he urged players to finish rounds when chances appear.

Since joining MOUZ, Giladi has taken a more passive role to fit team needs. He acknowledged responsibility for recent dips in form and described the role change as a tactical adjustment to support the roster.

He described the challenge of staying engaged during rounds with limited encounters, recalling a Dust2 half in which he saw only three opponents and had few firefights across 12 rounds. Key moments — a late 1v3 on Dust2 and a three-kill pistol round — helped him keep focus and sustain team momentum.

Giladi praised teammates for stepping up when his opportunities were limited, noting that low individual kill totals can reflect strong team performance. He urged the squad to prioritise collective objectives over individual highlights and to continue working on CT setups.

Looking ahead to the final, Giladi expressed confidence in MOUZ’s ability to challenge top opponents in the current CS2 environment, while noting the difference between an online match and a LAN grand final. He said the team seeks revenge against Spirit after several past losses and described reaching the final as an important milestone for two roster members.
