SOOP, Payletter back Korea-vs-France LoL event

SOOP will host the 2026 Cross Regional – LoL online June 21–22: Korea vs France, backed by Payletter, with a 10 million won prize pool.

Streaming platform SOOP announced the 2026 Cross Regional – LoL, an online Korea vs France tournament on June 21–22. The event carries a 10 million won (about $6,500) prize pool and is backed by payment gateway Payletter.

The two-day tournament will pair creators and professional players. On June 21, five Korean streamers will face a French roster made up of players in South Korea for training bootcamps. On June 22, the lineup will include active professionals from SOOP’s League of Legends Champions Korea partner teams, including Dplus KIA and DN SOOPers, against the same French squad.

SOOP scheduled the event to align with team bootcamps and the 2026 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational. Most participants will be located in Korea and matches will be hosted online. SOOP described the project as part of a broader content investment to expand domestic and international user engagement through creator collaborations.

Payletter will handle payment services for the event. The company provides payment processing for titles such as League of Legends and VALORANT and already has integrations with SOOP.

The broadcast will include an English co-stream hosted by Adam ‘Eragon’ Harney, a former League of Legends European Championship commentator and coach for the United Kingdom team at the Esports Nations Cup, to reach overseas viewers.

Full match schedules and roster lists will be published before the June 21 start. The 10 million won prize pool will be distributed across the competition over the two days.
