Sharks Rally Past HEROIC on Nuke at IEM Cologne

Sharks came from 5-2 down to defeat HEROIC on Nuke at the IEM Cologne Major. The victory lengthens HEROIC’s losing streak to six series and marks a win for Sharks in the organisation’s second Major appearance.

HEROIC opened the match on the favoured CT side and built a 5-2 lead. Sharks regained control by taking space on Outside and securing opening kills, driven by Danilo “doc” Barros. Sharks won five consecutive rounds to level the score before halftime.

In the second half both teams traded force-buy rounds early, but Sharks stabilised their economy and tempo. Victor “gafolo” Andrade ran through a smoke to pick up a clutch that helped Sharks convert rounds during their run. Máximo “maxxkor” Cortina and João “koala” Pfeffer provided support across the map while Daniel “rdnzao” Monteiro added consistent entries.

Stat lines reflected Sharks’ balanced performance. Doc finished with 23 kills and an average damage per round (ADR) of 100.4. Maxxkor had 18 kills with an ADR of 89.1 and koala posted 19 kills with a 77.0 ADR. Rdnzao added 18 kills. For HEROIC, Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç led the team with 18 kills and a 91.3 ADR; other HEROIC players posted lower ratings and negative kill-death differentials.
