Sharks have signed Danilo ‘doc’ Barros, Victor ‘gafolo’ Andrade and Daniel ‘rdnzao’ Monteiro to contracts that run through 2030. The agreements were completed after the team qualified for IEM Cologne Major Stage 1 as the seventh-highest-ranked team in the Americas.
The deals secure the core trio with the Portuguese organization as Sharks prepare for their second Major appearance; the team previously competed at PGL Stockholm 2021. The club also confirmed long-term contracts for João ‘koala’ Pfeffer and Máximo ‘maxxkor’ Cortina. João ‘koala’ has appeared at No.11 in recent prospect rankings.
Sharks will face HEROIC in the opening round of the Cologne Major. Before traveling to Germany, the team will take part in BC Game Masters Championship Season 2 and Stake Ranked Episode 2 as part of their preparation and continued lineup evaluation.
Coach Hélder ‘coachi’ Sancho described the club’s approach:
Our focus is on stability, the development of our athletes, and a rigorous training methodology, in which sustainable growth takes precedence over immediate results. We believe in processes and in the daily improvement of our players.
The contracts through 2030 formally bind the named players to Sharks as the organization moves into a busy international competition schedule.
