SAW near deal for four ex-major Portuguese players

Multiple sources confirmed SAW are in advanced talks to sign Christopher “MUTiRiS” Fernandes, João “story” Vieira, Michel “ewjerkz” Pinto and Adones “krazy” Nobre to form a new Portuguese core.

MUTiRiS, story and ewjerkz were on the same roster that played at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 and reached the semifinals of IEM Cologne later that year.

Krazy joined SAW in June 2025 and spent six months with the organisation before moving, together with MUTiRiS and António “aragornN” Barbosa, to BC.Game; krazy was the last of the trio to be benched following that transfer.

MUTiRiS was dropped by BC.Game in April after the team failed to qualify for the IEM Cologne Major. Story’s final competitive appearance for FlyQuest came at that Major. Ewjerkz was released by Ninjas in Pyjamas earlier this week after seven months on the bench and was close to joining paiN in January before talks collapsed.

SAW are also expected to add Filipe “NOPEEj” Dias to complete the five-man lineup. NOPEEj has been with Rebels since September 2025 and previously played with krazy in the Rhyno squad that finished second at the 2024 IESF World Championship.

SAW lost its entire lineup in January and rebuilt with a smaller roster featuring four former EXSAD players. The organisation has indicated it will continue to support the team; SAW’s current squad is ranked 230rd in the global VRS standings.

If the negotiations are finalised, the planned starting lineup would be Christopher “MUTiRiS” Fernandes, João “story” Vieira, Michel “ewjerkz” Pinto, Adones “krazy” Nobre and Filipe “NOPEEj” Dias.
