Saadzin confident after Legacy’s Stage 2 win

Legacy advanced to Stage 3 of the Major after a 2-0 victory over TYLOO in the 2-2 pool, securing a top-16 finish. The win completed a five-match run in Stage 2 and added an extra Americas qualification slot for the next Major.

Guilherme “saadzin” Pacheco acknowledged he struggled early in the event, describing his play in the opening best-of-ones and in the match against Monte as below expectations. He credited stronger performances against M80 and TYLOO with restoring his confidence ahead of Stage 3.

On his role with the team, saadzin remarked on the weight of the AWP position: “Because, like everyone knows, AWP is the meta of the game, so if you are AWP and you are not getting too much impact, it will be a hard game.” He said regaining form with the sniper rifle is important for matches with higher pressure.

The win had an emotional element for Legacy. Saadzin noted friendly ties with some local players and said the squad felt “a little sad because of Jee,” whom he described as a close friend, while accepting the result as part of the competition.

Legacy’s victory also increased the Americas region’s slots for the next Major. Saadzin pointed out the significance of the extra spot after compatriot team paiN failed to advance, and said more representation for non-European teams matters to the region.

The Brazilian side has not reached the Major playoffs in past runs; players have set reaching the top eight at this event as a team objective. Saadzin said the group plans to maintain confidence and focus, and to enjoy playing as they face stronger lineups in Stage 3.

Stage 3 will match Legacy against higher-ranked opponents and will determine whether the team’s recent form and adjustments lead to a first Major playoff appearance in the club’s history.
