Riot discounts HLE’s MSI 2026 skins 33% through July 20

Riot applied a 33% discount to the in-game skins worn by Hanwha Life Esports during the MSI 2026 Grand Finals. The promotion runs through July 20 and is available in the League of Legends in-game store. Hanwha Life Esports won the final series 3-2 against Bilibili Gaming.

Skin names and splash art were shown on in-game banners during the broadcast, and those items were linked to the post-match store. Riot listed the skins viewers saw during the final series so players could purchase the same cosmetics after the matches.

Not every champion that appeared in the finals had a purchasable skin. Lee Sin’s Heavenscale is part of the Legacy Vault and was not offered; Riot listed the champion’s standard skin instead. Orianna had no skin in one game, so a suggested alternative was shown in the store. Ashe’s High Noon legendary skin, normally priced at 1,850 RP, was included in the discount.

The sale roster is concentrated on the champions picked by Hanwha Life Esports in the final. Riot has also promoted related items, such as Riftbound cards, alongside skins during events. Store updates and new content often appear in the early evening local time, which is when these discounted items typically become visible in the in-game shop.

Some observers have questioned whether the link between broadcasted picks and short-term sales creates financial incentives for players or teams. The sale window is time-limited and tied to the tournament outcome and viewer interest.
