Riot discounts Hanwha Life Esports MSI skins until July 20

Riot is offering 33% discounts on the in-game skins used by Hanwha Life Esports in the MSI 2026 Grand Finals. The sale is available in the League of Legends client and runs through July 20.

The discounted items match the cosmetics worn by HLE players during the five-game final against Bilibili Gaming, a series HLE won 3-2. The promotion window opened after the event and remains active until the listed end date.

Not every in-game appearance became a purchasable skin. Lee Sin’s Heavenscale is a Legacy Vault item and was not available for general sale, so the champion’s default appearance was offered as the recommended option. Orianna had no skin in Game 1 and was given a recommended alternative. The sale also included higher-tier items: Ashe’s High Noon Legendary skin, priced at 1,850 RP, is reduced by the 33% discount during the promotion.

Event overlays displayed skin names and splash art during the laning phase of matches, and broadcasts have at times highlighted related Riftbound cards. Those on-screen elements showed viewers which cosmetics players were using while matches were live.

The timing and visibility of the sale prompted discussion among viewers and commentators about the link between professional picks and short-term sales windows. Some raised questions about whether the promotional connection could affect champion or cosmetic choices during major matches.

The promotional pricing expires on July 20. Riot typically applies client updates, champion unlocks and other changes in the early evening local time, and the sale is expected to end around that schedule. Riot has run similar post-event promotions that highlight cosmetics worn during live matches.
