Rebels complete roster with aragornN, arrozdoce and Shr
Rebels signed António ‘aragornN’, Rafael ‘arrozdoce’ and José ‘Shr’, finalizing a Portuguese core after the exits of NOPEEj and snapy and the benching of TMKj.
Rebels have signed António “aragornN” Barbosa, Rafael “arrozdoce” Wing and José “Shr” Gil, completing a rebuild of their Counter-Strike 2 roster after Filipe “NOPEEj” Dias and Diogo “snapy” Rodrigues left the team and Tiago “TMKj” Martins was benched. The club said the five will form a Portuguese core for upcoming competitions.
The active lineup now lists Renato “stadodo” Gonçalves, Diogo “Icarus” Cruz, José “Shr” Gil, António “aragornN” Barbosa and Rafael “arrozdoce” Wing, with João “horvy” Horvath as coach. RBLS noted several past connections among the players, with multiple teammates reuniting in the same squad.
António “aragornN” Barbosa returned to a Portuguese roster after signing for BC.Game in January. He played on a multinational roster there and recorded a 0.87 average HLTV rating during that spell.
Rafael “arrozdoce” Wing rejoined the national scene after periods with international teams, including Ninjas in Pyjamas and OG following earlier success with SAW. His HLTV rating was 1.14 in 2024 and fell to 1.01 and 1.02 across the next two seasons with overseas rosters.
José “Shr” Gil arrives after almost a year without an HLTV-recorded official match. He was benched by Imperial in August 2025 after roughly a month with that organization.
Carlos García, RBLS sporting director, called the signings “the biggest challenge we’ve taken on at RBLS within the CS2 scene, a bet on Portuguese talent that we’re confident will bring us plenty of success,” and added that the group’s chemistry was “a solid foundation for future competitions.” The club said it will rely on the players’ existing relationships as it prepares for its next slate of events.
