PlayVS names Emerge Apparel official jersey provider

PlayVS has named Emerge Apparel its official jersey provider across middle school, high school and the PlayVS College League, ending a vendor relationship with Duo Digital earlier this year. Under the agreement, Emerge will supply custom jerseys, team design services and dedicated online storefronts for PlayVS programs.

Emerge will manage concept design, manufacturing, ordering and fulfillment for participating teams. The contract includes a 20% profit-sharing booster model that allows schools and university clubs to use their merchandise storefronts as a fundraising channel. The renewed deal expands a prior collaboration from 2023, when Emerge provided jerseys and services to more than 100 high schools, and marks the first time the partnership covers collegiate competition.

PlayVS ended its earlier arrangement with Duo Digital after concluding the service was not the right fit for its ecosystem.

Aaron Kelley, PlayVS head of marketing, commented that Emerge ‘understands what esports programs need from a jersey partner: great design, incredible customer service and gear that gives students a stronger sense of team identity.’ Matthew Worsman, founder of Emerge Apparel, added that the company is ‘thrilled to reunite with PlayVS’ and that bringing Emerge apparel to the PlayVS College League makes ‘this next chapter even more exciting.’

The partnership centralizes uniform procurement by using a single vendor for design and fulfillment and provides online storefronts for teams to order gear. The contract covers teams across middle school, high school and collegiate play within the PlayVS competitive ecosystem and includes the profit-sharing element to generate recurring revenue tied to merchandise sales.
