PlayVS to Run Gaming Arena at 2026 National Jamboree
PlayVS will operate a PlayVS Arena at Scouting America’s 2026 National Jamboree, July 22–31 at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia.
PlayVS has partnered with Scouting America to create the PlayVS Arena, a dedicated gaming area that will run for the full length of the 2026 National Jamboree from July 22 to 31 at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia.
The activation is built around a mobile trailer fitted with gaming stations, virtual reality equipment and a racing simulator. A separate tent adjacent to the trailer will add more console stations where Scouts can play casually, watch competitions or gather with peers. Organised tournaments will run on a rotating schedule, on-site leaderboards will display standings and hands-on demos of newer gaming technology will be available. The space is open to Scouts at all experience levels, from first-time players to more serious competitors.
Scouting America, formerly the Boy Scouts of America, stages the National Jamboree as its largest gathering. The event draws tens of thousands of Scouts, troop leaders and staff from across the United States and features outdoor activities, leadership training and large group shows for youth ages 5 to 20.
Andrew Barnett, Partnership Lead at PlayVS, stated, “At PlayVS, we believe gaming can be a powerful way for young people to build confidence, practice teamwork, and develop meaningful connections. Partnering with Scouting America allows us to bring that experience to one of the country’s most iconic youth gatherings and show how structured gaming can complement the values of leadership, fellowship, and skill-building that Scouting has championed for generations.”
PlayVS operates esports leagues for schools across North America. Recent initiatives by the company include a partnership with the Army National Guard aimed at growing high school esports and introducing students to related career paths, and the acquisition of LeagueSpot, a platform used to run esports leagues and tournaments. The PlayVS Arena will be available to Scouts attending the Jamboree as part of the event programme.
