Pearl Abyss Confirms Crimson Desert DLC, Plans Cross-Save

Pearl Abyss confirmed a downloadable expansion for Crimson Desert is in development and shared a development roadmap covering June to September 2026 in a recent developer update.

The studio described the DLC as a “meaningful addition” to player progress through the game world of Pywel but did not provide a release date or full feature list. More details are expected in later updates.

Planned story revisions will refine and expand key scenes in Kliff’s arc. The team said it has reviewed player feedback and will use those comments to adjust narrative flow and improve coherence in the main campaign.

Re-Blockade mode will receive several changes, including the addition of a new phase, revisions to stronghold defense mechanics and improved rewards for liberating territories. Pearl Abyss wrote that the aim is to change how players approach stronghold encounters and increase incentives for participation.

The roadmap also mentions new combat-focused content described as allowing players to “test their strength as Greymanes.” The studio did not specify the format, scale or timing for the combat features and said further information will arrive in a later update.

Cross-save support was confirmed for PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Players will be able to link accounts to share save files and carry characters and progress between those platforms once the system is implemented.

Additional adjustments in the same development window include gameplay tweaks for Damiane and Oongka and quality-of-life upgrades for non-combat systems such as trading and farming.

Pearl Abyss emphasized that player feedback is guiding the planned revisions. The developer did not provide firm timetables for the DLC release or many individual updates and said it will release further details in future communications.
