Parivision signs veteran HObbit as surprise stand-in

Parivision has signed Abay ‘HObbit’ Khassenov as a stand-in for Andrey ‘BELCHONOKK’ Yasinskiy. HObbit will make his debut at the upcoming XSE Pro League. The club moved BELCHONOKK to the bench ahead of the league.

In a welcome statement, Parivision’s CEO wrote: “At this stage of development, it was important for us to strengthen the roster with an experienced player who will help the team progress in both the short and long term. We are well aware of Abay’s strengths, understand the contribution he can make to the team, and are confident that his arrival will make us stronger.” The organisation declined to specify the length of HObbit’s contract. Parivision said it is focused on putting its Major run behind the team ahead of domestic league play.

The signing addresses a recurring concern about a lack of experience among the team’s riflers. Dzhami ‘Jame’ Ali and Dastan ‘dastan’ Akbayev have pointed to the riflers’ relative inexperience in interviews. Parivision expects HObbit to add leadership and on-map decision-making while the roster is evaluated.

HObbit is 32. He left Cloud9 in 2024 and has not been on tier-one rosters since. He spent two years with 1win, a spell that ended in April 2026, and did not appear at any MVP Circuit events during that period.

Parivision’s active five for upcoming matches will list Dzhami ‘Jame’ Ali, Emil ‘nota’ Moskvitin, Vladislav ‘xiELO’ Lysov, Ivan ‘zweih’ Gogin and Abay ‘HObbit’ Khassenov. Dastan ‘dastan’ Akbayev remains with the squad, while Andrey ‘BELCHONOKK’ Yasinskiy is on the bench. The organisation did not comment on whether BELCHONOKK will be transferred or return to the starting lineup after the league.
