PARIVISION beats FaZe in OT to reach Guangzhou final

PARIVISION defeated FaZe 2–1 in the XSE Pro League Guangzhou playoffs, overturning a 13-9 loss on Cache with consecutive 19-17 overtime wins on Dust2 and Ancient to reach the grand final. The match was played in Guangzhou and marked the first series for Abay ‘HObbit’ Khassenov and Vyacheslav ‘slaxejezzz’ Vinokurov with PARIVISION.

FaZe won the opening map Cache 13-9. They led 7-5 at halftime after exploiting Middle and Highway to split A site. A standout 1v4 by Vladislav xiELO did not change the momentum and FaZe increased their lead after the break to close the map.

On Dust2, PARIVISION repeatedly attacked FaZe’s B-site defense and built an 8-4 halftime lead supported by a 1v3 from Ivan zweih Gogin. PARIVISION converted a pistol round after the swap to push toward a decider. FaZe mounted a comeback, including two disadvantaged round conversions and one round after Jason JBOEN Boe Nielsen disconnected on Catwalk. FaZe reached match point from 6-11 down, but PARIVISION forced overtime and won the map in extra rounds.

Ancient was a back-and-forth contest that began with traded force-buys. A mistimed A rush by FaZe allowed PARIVISION to win several early rounds on USPs and extend a lead to 10-5 after the swap. FaZe rallied to 11-10 and converted a 3v5 to reach match point, but dropped round 24 to send the map to overtime. PARIVISION faced a match point in extra time before securing the win on the second set of overtime rounds. Dzhami Jame produced multiple late-round multi-kills and combined with HObbit on decisive exchanges.

Individual statistics for the series included Jame with 69 kills and a 1.21 rating, Jakub jcobbb Pietruszewski with 65 kills, an 86.3 ADR and a 1.28 rating for FaZe, and slaxejezzz with 60 kills and a 1.09 rating in his first outing for PARIVISION. Team data showed several narrow margins across the three maps.

PARIVISION reached their first grand final since PGL Cluj-Napoca. The team made two roster changes after a 0-3 exit from Stage 3 of the IEM Cologne Major; the match in Guangzhou was the first competitive series with HObbit and slaxejezzz in the lineup. FaZe dropped multiple match points across Dust2 and Ancient. PARIVISION will face the tournament’s remaining finalist in the grand final in Guangzhou.
