paiN to replace BetBoom at BLAST Open Porto

BetBoom have withdrawn from BLAST Open Porto in Porto after failing to secure travel visas, and paiN have been called up to fill the vacant slot.

Tournament organisers selected paiN as the highest-seeded runner-up from the closed qualifiers. The $1.1 million event will continue with the revised field.

BetBoom have faced travel and visa problems throughout the year. They competed at the Major without Pavel “S1ren” Ogloblin, and earlier Artem “ArtFr0st” Kharitonov and Daniil “d1Ledez” Kustov were sidelined while awaiting visa approvals.

The withdrawal removes BetBoom from BLAST Open Porto’s schedule. The team remains in the top 10 of the VRS following a playoff run at the Cologne Major.

For paiN, the late call-up provides direct entry to the main stage and an opportunity to earn VRS points and prize money that were not available after their closed-qualifier finish.

Organisers confirmed play will proceed under the adjusted lineup. The FISSURE Playground 3 event begins two days after BLAST Open Porto ends, offering another competition opportunity for teams affected by travel issues.
