OpTic wins back-to-back EWC titles; avg viewers 132.3K

OpTic Gaming defeated Team Heretics 5–3 in the grand final at Esports World Cup 2026 to win consecutive Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 titles. The North American club took $600,000 from a $1.8 million prize pool and earned 1,000 Club Championship points.

The tournament averaged 132,300 viewers, a 12.2% increase from the previous year, and generated more than 5.6 million Hours Watched, up 34%. Peak concurrent viewership reached 267,800, a 0.4% decrease from 2025. The grand final was the event’s most-watched match.

Broadcast patterns shifted during the event. Seth “Scump” Abner remained a primary caster and attracted large audiences across his channels. French streamer Broky “brawks” Brawks peaked above 56,300 viewers on Twitch and surpassed Scump as the platform’s most-watched individual streamer for the tournament. French-language broadcasts became the second-most-popular language at the event despite only two French players competing.

By peak viewers, EWC 2026 ranked fourth among 2026 Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 tournaments. The CDL 2026 Stage 4 Major led the year with a peak near 379,500 concurrent viewers.

Organizers made an online EWC Hub available to track tournament results, viewership figures and club standings across the festival.
