NRG benches br0 after IEM Cologne Stage 1 exit

NRG has benched Alexander “br0” Bro after the team’s 9–11th place exit at IEM Cologne Major Stage 1.

NRG announced that Alexander “br0” Bro has been moved to the bench after the team was eliminated in 9–11th place at Stage 1 of the IEM Cologne Major. The organization said the roster change follows the team’s exit from Cologne.

Bro joined NRG in early 2025 and had been part of the active lineup for nearly a year and a half. During his tenure he recorded a 1.13 rating, the highest on the roster over that period. He appeared at three Majors with NRG — BLAST.tv Austin, StarLadder Budapest and IEM Cologne — and competed in other events.

While he was in the starting five, the team did not reach the late stages at any Major. NRG’s active roster now lists Nick “nitr0” Cannella, Aran “Sonic” Groesbeek, Josh “oSee” Ohm and Michael “Grim” Wince, with coach Damian “daps” Steele. Alexander “br0” Bro is listed as benched on the organization’s roster.

IEM Cologne is a Major-level Counter-Strike tournament. NRG confirmed the roster update after the Stage 1 result in Cologne as it adjusts its lineup.
