Nemiga has accepted an invitation from BLAST to replace 9z at BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2. The Belarusian side joins a 32-team field that begins online on July 21. The tournament’s top eight teams will advance to LAN finals in Malta.
BLAST cited “updates to their team schedule” as the reason for 9z’s withdrawal. 9z reached the arenas at PGL Astana and the IEM Cologne Major during the first season. Organizers offered the vacant spot to several teams; multiple higher-ranked sides declined, and Nemiga, ranked 40th on the event’s VRS, accepted the invitation.
BLAST Bounty Season 2 combines direct invites, regional qualifiers and replacement selections to complete its field. Online play will progress to knockout rounds, with the final eight teams earning flights to Malta for the LAN stage.
BLAST did not provide additional details on 9z’s schedule changes. Nemiga entered the main field after teams ahead of them on the ranking list declined invitations.
