NAVI climb nine places after 2-0 win over FURIA

Natus Vincere improved to a 2-0 record on the second day of PGL Masters in Romania after defeating FURIA 2-0. The result earned NAVI 85 VRS points and lifted them nine places to 11th in the European rankings.

Current simulations give NAVI a 99.9% chance of receiving a Major invitation. The estimate assumes the team will attend the HyperX Retake S13 LAN and add another LAN win to its record.

The series began on Ancient, the first map played between the teams after FURIA removed it from its permanent-ban rotation. Drin “makazze” Shaqiri helped NAVI build a 7-1 lead on the T side with his play around Middle. FURIA reduced the deficit to 9-10, but Valeriy “b1t” Vakhovskiy helped NAVI finish the map on the CT side.

NAVI made another fast start on Dust2, taking a 7-1 lead. Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen led the attack from Long. He has a 1.25 rating across four maps at the tournament.

B1t led the series with 35 kills, 20 deaths and a 1.61 rating. Ihor “w0nderful” Zhdanov recorded a 1.28 rating, while makazze finished with a 1.12 rating. Yuri “yuurih” Santos led FURIA with a 0.96 rating, and Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo posted a 0.60 rating.

NAVI entered the tournament with its Major invitation dependent on its European VRS position and LAN win record. The organization has registered for HyperX Retake S13, which could overlap with IEM Beijing and the conclusion of PGL Masters. NAVI has attended every Major to date.
