MPL ID Week 5: Team Liquid ID Wins Half-Season Title

Team Liquid ID clinched the Half Season Champion title in Week 5 of MPL Indonesia Season 18 after two series victories, and NAVI moved into third place with a 7–2 record through nine regular-season matches.

Week 5 was the midpoint of the regular season. Team Liquid ID won two series that week, extending its lead in the standings. The team’s wins were built on consistent macro decisions and individual mechanical play across both series.

Organizers postponed two matches involving Dewa United after four active players and members of the coaching staff contracted a virus. Dewa United’s scheduled games against EVOS and RRQ were removed from the Week 5 schedule; new dates for those fixtures have not been announced.

ONIC Esports’ midlaner Sanz fell ill, and roamer Ssamuel was moved into the midlane as an emergency swap. ONIC lost consecutive series to Geek Fam and Alter Ego following the roster change.

RRQ lost 0–2 to Alter Ego; RRQ fielded new roamer Excellent 99 in that match. EVOS lost 0–2 to NAVI in their Week 5 meeting.

NAVI recorded seven wins and two losses across nine matches and sits third in the standings. The team had not recorded a single series win at the midpoint of the previous season.

At the halfway point of the regular season, Team Liquid ID holds the Half Season Champion title and the top position in the table. Organizers have yet to set new dates for the postponed Dewa United matches.
