MOUZ survives 3DMAX scare to reach BLAST Bounty semis
MOUZ beat 3DMAX 2-1 in the BLAST Bounty Season 2 quarterfinals, dropping Dust2 10-13 before winning Nuke 22-18 and Inferno 13-3 to advance to the semi-finals.
MOUZ defeated 3DMAX 2-1 in the BLAST Bounty Season 2 Finals quarterfinals to reach the semi-finals. The series opened with a 13-10 loss on Dust2, followed by a 22-18 win on Nuke after three overtimes and a 13-3 finish on Inferno.
On Dust2, 3DMAX targeted MOUZ newcomer Oldřich ‘PR’ Nový on the B site and converted an early pistol into a 4-0 lead. PR ended the map 2-8. A second pistol win put 3DMAX up 9-5 before MOUZ narrowed the gap, but a late saved AK and a quad kill plus a 1v2 by Jeremy ‘Kursy’ Gast secured the map 13-10 for 3DMAX.
Nuke featured multiple low-buy rounds and momentum swings. Bryan ‘Maka’ Canda recorded a Dualies four‑kill early for 3DMAX, and MOUZ fought back to force overtime after denying a 1v4 clutch by Filip ‘Graviti’ Brankovic. Ádám ‘torzsi’ Torzsás recovered a 2v4 with a triple to reach map point, and 3DMAX answered with a 2v5 to extend the match. In the third overtime Adrian ‘xelex’ Vincze produced a quad kill and followed with a 1v3 clutch in successive rounds to close the map 22-18.
On Inferno MOUZ reduced the errors that hampered them earlier. Dorian ‘xertioN’ Berman’s tactical calls, combined with steady fragging from Lotan ‘Spinx’ Giladi and PR, put MOUZ in control and the map finished 13-3.
Ádám ‘torzsi’ Torzsás led MOUZ with a 67-44 K-D and an 80.9 ADR. Dorian ‘xertioN’ Berman was 59-52 with an 86.2 ADR; Oldřich ‘PR’ Nový 53-51 (72.5 ADR); Adrian ‘xelex’ Vincze 51-48 (62.2 ADR); Lotan ‘Spinx’ Giladi 47-55 (72.1 ADR). For 3DMAX, Kévin ‘misutaaa’ Rabier finished 47-55 (67.4 ADR); Filip ‘Graviti’ Brankovic 51-57 (67.4 ADR); Jeremy ‘Kursy’ Gast 52-61 (63.6 ADR); Bryan ‘Maka’ Canda 49-48 (67.1 ADR); Lucas ‘Lucky’ Chastang 50-57 (74.7 ADR).
In a post-match interview, Dorian ‘xertioN’ Berman acknowledged, “We were tested mentally in the series and didn’t play to our level on the first two maps.” He pointed to lost advantages and pistol-round errors before saying the team’s reset and execution on Inferno allowed them to progress. MOUZ advance to the semi-finals while 3DMAX exit the event at the quarterfinal stage.
