MOUZ Restructure Boosts Torzsi’s AWP Form

MOUZ AWPer Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás says the club’s new structure, led on the server by Dorian “xertioN” Berman and off it by coach Dennis “sycrone” Nielsen, has improved his play as the team prepares to travel to StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026. The roster has reached two grand finals, won one title and made a quarter-final in its last three events.

The rework started when xertioN took over calling duties and Adrian “xelex” Vincze and Oldřich “PR” Nový joined the lineup. Management and players continue to refine roles and in-game patterns while the newcomers gain top-level match minutes.

Torzsi has a 1.16 rating over the past three months. He attributes his form to clearer role definitions and setups from xertioN and sycrone that position him to use the AWP effectively. “They want to utilize what I can give to the team,” he said.

He explained differences for AWP players in Counter-Strike 2 compared with the previous game, pointing to a stronger peeker’s advantage that makes aggressive AWPing harder. Torzsi listed Inferno and Ancient as examples where teams often prefer five rifles on T-side, and said that when an AWP is kept he is set up to get entry kills rather than being put into rounds where the weapon is less useful.

Younger players are finding defined roles. Torzsi described a productive relationship with xelex, noting that demo reviews and coaching work have helped develop the Hungarian player’s identity within the team. He termed xelex “amazingly talented” and said the staff are reviewing his play across scenarios.

PR’s role has shifted since he joined. Initial plans sometimes placed him as an entry to trade with xelex, but practice and results led the team to position PR more as a support and late-round clutch player. Torzsi said PR prefers post-plant situations and that the adjustment allows xertioN to take entry duties in some rounds and lead from the front in others.

Event results reflect the lineup’s recent form. MOUZ won a BLAST title, reached another BLAST grand final where they lost to Spirit, and were beaten by FUT at the EWC; Torzsi described the EWC loss as a “slap in the face” that revealed areas to work on. Over the last three tournaments the team made two finals and one quarter-final.

As MOUZ head to StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026, the coaching staff and leadership continue to tweak allocation of in-game responsibilities. The newcomers have accumulated additional high-pressure minutes that the club cites as part of the roster’s development.
