MOUZ keeps xertioN as IGL after IEM Cologne exit

MOUZ coach Dennis “sycrone” Nielsen confirmed Dorian “xertioN” Berman will remain the team’s in-game leader after the squad’s 1–3 elimination at the IEM Cologne Major.

MOUZ coach Dennis “sycrone” Nielsen confirmed Dorian “xertioN” Berman will continue as the team’s in-game leader after the squad was eliminated 1–3 at the IEM Cologne Major.

Nielsen said the result fell short of the club’s goal of reaching the playoffs but that the event allowed the organisation to test new players in high-level matches. He noted MOUZ struggled with its map pool and did not have the foundation to consistently win maps against opponents such as FUT, FURIA and Vitality.

On leadership, Nielsen stated: “I’m set on xertioN as an IGL.” He praised xertioN’s communication and in-game micro-management, and described the captain as effective at facilitating play and relaying coaching instructions during matches.

Adrian “xelex” Vincze, promoted from MOUZ NXT for the Major, was highlighted as a player under review. The coach praised xelex’s composure and fragging in academy competition but said the step up to the main roster is steep. He noted xelex needs more time to adapt to the higher level of anti-stratting and the map-control demands at elite events.

Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin’s status remains uncertain. The coach described Brollan as a versatile, hardworking role player who can both anchor sites and create plays, and said the organisation has discussed the possibility of him returning to the lineup.

Nielsen added MOUZ will use the off-season to assess the roster and “go home and evaluate” what the team showed at the end of the season. He said the club will monitor the transfer market and consider whether to keep the five players who competed at the Major or make changes. Communication and in-game leadership were identified as focus areas for the next period, with xertioN leading those efforts.
