MOUZ 2-0 paiN at CS Asia Champs; xelex, xertioN lead

MOUZ defeated paiN 2-0 at the CS Asia Championships on May 22, taking Nuke and Overpass to secure a playoff berth. The win advances MOUZ to the knockout phase of the CS Asia Championships 2026 and is the second straight playoff qualification for their current lineup.

On Nuke, MOUZ controlled the match from the start. The team won an early CT-side force-buy and maintained momentum as Dorian ‘xertioN’ Berman and Ádám ‘torzsi’ Torzsás produced several high-impact rounds that limited paiN’s attacking options.

Overpass was more contested but swung in MOUZ’s favor after a strong performance from Adrian ‘xelex’ Vincze. xelex recorded a 2.53 rating on Overpass, registered multiple opening kills and clutches, and finished the match 36-21 with 93.1 average damage per round (ADR) and an 89.2% KAST. xertioN ended 34-18 with 108.9 ADR and an 83.8% KAST. Torzsás posted 34-16 with 89.2 ADR and an 83.8% KAST. A mid-map run by paiN narrowed the scoreline, but a 2v5 won by xelex and torzsi closed the map for MOUZ.

Support players Lotan ‘Spinx’ Giladi and Justinas ‘jL’ Lekavicius finished 23-24 and 20-19 respectively. For paiN, Guilherme ‘piriajr’ Barbosa led team stats at 22-29 with 65.9 ADR and 54.1% KAST, Vinicius ‘vsm’ Moreira went 25-30, and João ‘snow’ Vinicius finished 14-33.

Multiple rounds were decided by retake and trade situations that favored MOUZ, and paiN were unable to convert enough rounds on Overpass to extend the series.

MOUZ advance to the CS Asia Championships playoffs. paiN are eliminated from the group stage.
