Monte defeated HEROIC 3-1 in Portugal on April 26 to win the CCT Global Finals 2026 title. The four-day, eight-team LAN ran April 23–26 and carried a $75,000 prize pool.
The Ukrainian organization opened the event with a 2-0 win over Betclic and a 2-1 victory over Ninjas in Pyjamas, then lost the upper-bracket final to HEROIC 1-2. Monte advanced through the lower bracket after a second 2-1 win over Ninjas in Pyjamas to reach the best-of-five grand final.
The grand final began on Nuke, where Aurélien ‘afro’ Drapier led Monte to a 13-0 map win. Monte recovered from a 4-8 deficit on Dust2 to take the second map. HEROIC won Inferno to force a fourth map, but Monte closed the series on Ancient with a strong second half and key finishes from Oscar ‘AZUWU’ Bell.
Individual match statistics from the event show Afro finished 68-43 with a 92.2 average damage per round (ADR) and a 1.45 rating. AZUWU posted 62-51 with an 80.6 ADR and a 1.22 rating. Jack ‘Gizmy’ von Spreckelsen and Aleks ‘Rainwaker’ Petrov recorded ratings of 1.09 and 1.04 respectively, while Aurimas ‘Bymas’ Pipiras finished near even. For HEROIC, Yasin ‘xfl0ud’ Koç had a 50-53 record and a 1.11 rating and Tim ‘susp’ Ångström posted a 1.05 rating; other HEROIC players registered lower ratings across the series.
The CCT Global Finals title is Monte’s second tournament victory of 2026. The team made a roster change earlier in the year after Gytis ‘ryu’ Glušauskas left for Astralis. Three weeks before the Portugal event, Monte went undefeated in the upper bracket at DraculaN Season 6 before losing the grand final 1-2 to M80; that result secured a Stage 2 invite to the IEM Cologne Major. Monte is scheduled to compete next at PGL Astana.
