The MongolZ Return to CS2 VRS Top Eight After NAVI Win

The MongolZ beat Natus Vincere 2-0 at IEM Beijing on Nov. 7, reaching eighth in Valve’s live VRS rankings 19 days after their rebuilt roster’s first official series.

The MongolZ defeated Natus Vincere 2-0 at IEM Beijing on Nov. 7, adding 45 points for a live total of 1,757 and moving to eighth in Valve’s live VRS rankings.

The Mongolian team had already beaten Legacy, HEROIC and FURIA in Beijing. The four-match winning run came 19 days after the rebuilt roster played its first official series together.

The current lineup consists of bLitz, Techno, 910, cobrazera and nin9, with maaRaa as coach. Nin9 joined from The Huns on Oct. 5, while cobrazera returned after almost three months on the bench. Nin9 previously played with bLitz, Techno and 910 on the IHC roster that qualified for the Antwerp Major in 2022.

The team began collecting points at 1win Private Club Season 2, which it won on Oct. 22. The MongolZ recovered from the lower bracket and beat PARIVISION 3-0 in the final. The result lifted their total to 1,453 points and moved them to 23rd place, a 49-position rise. Nin9 finished the final with a 1.56 rating.

A 2-1 win over Aurora in Bucharest added 84 points before IEM Beijing. Valve’s VRS calculation uses recent LAN results, prize money, the earnings of defeated opponents and head-to-head results. The system gives greater weight to recent matches, so points from separate events cannot be added as a simple running total.

Valve’s Nov. 2 invitation list placed The MongolZ 17th with 1,554 points. The newer live calculation ranks them eighth with 1,757 points.

The roster has also changed its in-game structure. B litz remains the main caller, while nin9 directs play on his side of the map. Techno described the setup as feeling “like we are playing with two IGLs.” Nin9 also posted a 1.86 rating across Nuke’s 12 overtime rounds against HEROIC.

The MongolZ had lost four consecutive matches on Cache before beating FURIA 13-8 and NAVI 13-10 on NAVI’s map pick.

The MongolZ will face MOUZ in the IEM Beijing final on Nov. 8. The team is then scheduled to prepare for the Singapore Major. Nin9 described the roster’s current form as follows: “We’re still not ready, but we’re winning.”

The current lineup follows the team that reached the Austin Major final and won the 2025 Esports World Cup. Senzu and mzinho had moved to BC.Game by October 2026. A later lineup featuring tikuak and DarkMeister finished last at FISSURE Playground 3 before the current roster was formed.
