MIBR oust K27 from Esports World Cup

MIBR defeated K27 2–0 in a group-stage match at the Esports World Cup, eliminating the Russian team and leaving it in joint-last place. The Brazilian-majority roster closed the series on Cache and Nuke.

On Cache, K27 managed only one round during their T half. On Nuke, the team failed to win any of the final six attacking rounds. Carlos “venomzera” Eduardo produced two 1v3 clutches across the two maps and Lucas “nqz” Soares delivered a 1v2 late in rounds, contributing to MIBR’s control of the series.

K27 reached the main event through the Last Chance Qualifier, where they beat SAW and fnatic. The night before the match against MIBR, coach Gregory “balblna” Oleinick left the Schengen zone after his visa expired, removing in-person coaching for preparation and in-game adjustments.

Individual statistics reflected MIBR’s advantage. Felipe “insani” Yuji finished 40-27 with a 1.61 rating. Lucas “nqz” Soares posted 40-23 and a 1.49 rating. Carlos “venomzera” Eduardo went 25-24 with a 1.20 rating. Linus “LNZ” Holtäng was 25-24 with a 1.00 rating and Breno “brnz4n” Poletti finished 24-26 with a 0.90 rating.

K27’s top performers were Timur “clax” Sabirov at 28-32 with a 1.02 rating and Aleksey “xeedo” Mikulich at 29-32 with a 1.00 rating. Daniil “X5G7V” Maryshev went 26-31 with a 0.91 rating, Daniil “qw1nk1” Kabilov was 22-33 with a 0.74 rating and Danila “kashl1d” Dronov finished 17-27 with a 0.68 rating.

MIBR will face Legacy in a deciding match for a spot in the playoffs. K27 exits the main event and will not advance further in the Esports World Cup.
