MIBR, LG UltraGear extend partnership to March 2027

MIBR and LG UltraGear renewed and expanded their partnership through March 2027, adding Rocket League and keeping master jersey branding across MIBR’s CS2 main, women’s and academy teams.

MIBR and LG UltraGear have renewed and expanded their commercial partnership through March 2027. The updated agreement adds sponsorship of MIBR’s Rocket League team and keeps LG as master jersey sponsor for the organisation’s primary Counter-Strike 2 squads, the women’s team and academy rosters.

The original agreement was signed in March 2026 to promote LG’s gaming monitor range. The extension broadens the sponsorship to cover additional teams and new community programmes in São Paulo.

The deal creates three branded initiatives: a Discord hub titled “Made In Brazil By LG UltraGear”, a talent development and content platform under the LG brand, and the WIBR Cup, the first women’s CS2 tournament co-organised by MIBR, LG UltraGear and MIBR’s WIBR diversity initiative.

Raphael Castanheira, MIBR’s director of marketing and partnerships, noted: “LG UltraGear is a partner that understands esports beyond in-game results. Renewing and expanding this partnership until 2027, with the entry into Rocket League and projects like the WIBR Cup, shows that we are talking about a real investment in the ecosystem, from the Academy to the main team, including the development of the women’s scene.”

Misfits Creative Agency brokered the agreement. Mônica Bertin, partner and head of new business at Misfits, described the renewal as a long-term strategy for community engagement, adding that the arrangement links the Counter-Strike teams, the WIBR Cup and the Made In Brazil initiative under the “By LG UltraGear” brand.

In October 2025 Brazilian media group Spun Mídia acquired MIBR with a R$100 million investment to be deployed over five years. The acquisition created holding company EZOR, the parent organisation for MIBR and Brazilian esports team LOS.

The extended contract runs to March 2027 and covers product sponsorship, team branding and local community programmes aimed at talent development and increased competitive opportunities for women in Brazil’s CS2 scene.
