MIBR, LG UltraGear extend deal through 2027; add Rocket League
MIBR and LG UltraGear extended their commercial partnership to March 2027, adding LG’s master jersey sponsorship to MIBR’s Rocket League team while retaining CS2 branding.
Brazilian esports organisation MIBR and hardware brand LG UltraGear have renewed and expanded their commercial partnership through March 2027. The extension adds LG’s master jersey sponsorship to MIBR’s Rocket League team and keeps primary branding across the organisation’s Counter-Strike 2 squads.
The original agreement, signed in March 2026, focused on LG’s gaming monitor portfolio. Under the updated contract, LG UltraGear remains the primary jersey sponsor for MIBR’s main, women’s and academy CS2 teams and will appear on the Rocket League team’s kits.
The deal includes three community projects based in São Paulo. A Discord hub named “Made In Brazil By LG UltraGear” will serve as a community channel. A talent development and content platform will carry LG branding. The WIBR Cup will be the first women’s CS2 tournament co-organised by MIBR, LG UltraGear and MIBR’s diversity initiative, WIBR.
Misfits Creative Agency brokered the sponsorship expansion. Raphael Castanheira, MIBR’s director of marketing and partnerships, described LG UltraGear as “a partner that understands esports beyond in-game results,” and said the extension directs investment across the academy, the main roster and the women’s scene. Mônica Bertin, partner and head of new business at Misfits Creative Agency, called the upgraded partnership a milestone in their long-term plan and said the branded initiatives combine team visibility with community development.
MIBR was acquired in October 2025 by Brazilian media group Spun Mídia in a deal backed by a R$100 million investment spread over five years. The purchase created holding company EZOR, which serves as the parent organisation for MIBR and fellow Brazilian esports team LOS. The renewed sponsorship runs through March 2027 and places LG UltraGear branding across MIBR’s competitive teams and the announced community projects in São Paulo.
