MIBR ends FlyQuest’s Anubis streak, names saffee AWPer
At IEM Cologne Stage 2, MIBR beat FlyQuest on Anubis and confirmed saffee as their AWPer, Rodrigo “biguzera” Bittencourt confirmed after the match.
MIBR defeated FlyQuest at IEM Cologne Stage 2, ending FlyQuest’s winning run on the map Anubis and advancing MIBR’s campaign in the event.
In a post-game interview, Rodrigo “biguzera” Bittencourt described FlyQuest as a difficult opponent on Anubis and welcomed the result. “They are a very difficult team to play against on Anubis, so yeah, we’re happy that this side was doing well,” he noted. He reflected on MIBR’s previous match, questioning whether the team had started cold or simply played poorly and saying FlyQuest punished their mistakes. “It’s hard to say because we never know if it was because we were kind of cold or just we played bad… I think we didn’t play well, and we got punished by them,” he reflected.
Biguzera confirmed that saffee was chosen over nqz as MIBR’s AWPer, a change that had been planned for some time. “It was [going to be] saffee for a long time. We chose him to be the AWPer here,” he confirmed, highlighting saffee’s fit with the roster through communication and proactive play. “He plays for the team. He’s more proactive… He speaks more during the game. So yeah, I think that’s why.”
On the rest of Stage 2, biguzera said MIBR aims to progress while aware of the quality of the opposition. “We really want to go through, but at the same time, we know that here we have a lot of good teams also… I never thought before, like, go home or go to vacation. I just want to go through and win and more matches as possible,” he added.
MIBR’s victory ended FlyQuest’s Anubis streak at IEM Cologne and confirms saffee as the team’s AWPer for upcoming Stage 2 matches.
