MIBR CEO: insani has offer, weighing his future

MIBR CEO Alexandre ‘Kakavel’ Peres says Felipe ‘insani’ Yuji has a club offer and is deciding as his contract expires in December.

MIBR CEO Alexandre ‘Kakavel’ Peres confirmed Felipe ‘insani’ Yuji has a formal contract offer from the club and is weighing his options as his current deal runs out in December.

The 22-year-old was promoted from MIBR’s academy about four years ago and has been a regular on the first team since 2023. He has not yet won a major trophy with the organization.

EZOR, the esports division of Spun Media that acquired MIBR in October 2025, opened extension talks with the player. Peres confirmed discussions were paused during recent tournaments and a player break and are scheduled to resume in the coming days.

Peres described insani as appreciative of the club and content at MIBR, while noting the player remains unsure about his long-term plans. The CEO said insani has the contract in hand and is expected to make a decision soon.

The organization is preparing for either outcome. Peres added MIBR is developing a roster plan in case insani departs and that the team’s structure for 2027 is already being considered.

Peres rejected calls to have sold insani during the summer window, arguing that keeping him in the squad delivers tournament participation and revenue share that make a sale less financially advantageous now.

Insani attracted interest from other teams in the off-season and was on one shortlist before that club reinstated another player. MIBR finished 17th–24th at the Esports World Cup and will compete in the closed qualifier for IEM Beijing on Sept. 2–4.

With the contract set to expire in December, MIBR has a limited window to secure a renewal or implement contingency plans for the next season.
