MIBR beat Lynn Vision 2-0 at IEM Cologne

MIBR defeated Lynn Vision 2-0 during Stage 1 of the IEM Cologne Major in Germany, winning on Anubis and Inferno to secure a place in Stage 2.

On Anubis Lynn Vision ran slow, spread-out default plays early in the match. MIBR adapted after several rounds and won a majority of positional fights and trades. Felipe “insani” Yuji finished 41-16 with a 2.21 rating, a 140.7 average damage per round and a 90.9% KAST.

On Inferno MIBR established control from the start. When Lynn Vision applied economic pressure, Klimentii “kl1m” Krivosheev held B alone in a three-versus-five and recorded a four-kill round that ended Lynn Vision’s recovery efforts.

Other MIBR statistics: Linus “LNZ” Holtäng went 28-15 with a 1.44 rating; Klimentii “kl1m” was 33-9 with a 1.44 rating; Breno “brnz4n” Polettobio was 22-18 with a 1.18 rating; Carlos “venomzera” Eduardo was 19-14 with a 1.08 rating. For Lynn Vision, Lizhi “Starry” Ye led with 23-26 and a 1.00 rating; the other starters recorded ratings below 0.70.

MIBR opened Stage 1 with a loss to THUNDER dOWNUNDER and then recorded narrow wins over TYLOO and Team Liquid before facing Lynn Vision. The 2-0 result completed MIBR’s Stage 1 slate and advanced them to Stage 2; Lynn Vision is eliminated from the tournament.

IEM Cologne continues as a Major event in the Counter-Strike calendar, with teams competing for Major points and prize money.
