Magnojez leads BetBoom to IEM Cologne Stage 3

BetBoom beat Monte 2-1 to reach IEM Cologne Stage 3. Kirill ‘Magnojez’ Rodnov had 59 kills, 25 on Dust2, and a 1.47 series rating.

BetBoom defeated Monte 2-1 in a qualifier at the IEM Cologne Major to secure a place in Stage 3. The match was decided over three maps: Nuke, Mirage and Dust2.

The series opened on Nuke, where BetBoom recovered from a 2-6 deficit to win 13-7. Kirill ‘Magnojez’ Rodnov produced a 1.82 map rating on Nuke and Timur ‘FL4MUS’ Marev posted a 1.69 rating as part of the comeback.

Monte won the second map on their Mirage pick to force a decider. The final map, Dust2, was closely contested early before BetBoom pulled away for a 13-8 victory. Magnojez had 25 kills on Dust2 and finished the series with 59 kills and a 1.47 overall rating.

Daniil ‘d1Ledez’ Kustov contributed 45 kills and a 1.23 rating across the three maps. FL4MUS added 39 kills and a 1.09 rating. Kirill ‘Boombl4’ Mikhailov went 27-41 with a 0.78 rating and Aleksandr ‘zorte’ Zagodyrenko recorded 26-37 with a 0.69 rating.

For Monte, Aleks ‘Rainwaker’ Petrov led the scoreboard with 47 kills and a 1.23 rating. Oscar ‘AZUWU’ Bell had 42 kills and a 1.10 rating. Jack ‘Gizmy’ von Spreckelsen finished 37-38 with a 1.00 rating. Aurélien ‘afro’ Drapier recorded 31 kills and a 0.89 rating, while Aurimas ‘Bymas’ Pipiras had 25 kills and a 0.71 rating.

BetBoom will join the other teams qualified for Stage 3 of the IEM Cologne Major. Monte remain in the event and are scheduled to play again on Tuesday for another chance to reach Stage 3.
