Liquid upset Vitality 2-0 in JT and Jorko debut

Liquid opened its BLAST Bounty S2 campaign with a 2-0 victory over Vitality, winning Anubis 13-10 and Nuke 13-9 in the debut matches for Johnny ‘JT’ Theodosiou and Georgi ‘Jorko’ Mitev.

On Anubis Liquid registered six CT rounds at the half despite failing to win a pistol round. The team used timed aggression and coordinated entries to limit Vitality’s momentum. JT, acting as in-game leader, posted a 1.27 map rating on Anubis.

On Nuke Jonathan ‘EliGE’ Jablonowski produced multiple multi-kills and late-round clutches, finishing the map with a 2.01 rating. Jorko contributed several key moments across the series and ended with a 1.24 rating.

Match statistics across both maps show EliGE at 42-27 with a 93.2 ADR and a 1.52 overall rating. Jorko finished 34-26 with a 1.24 rating. Mario ‘malbsMd’ Samayoa went 30-32 with a 1.12 rating, JT was 27-27 with a 1.04 rating, and Keith ‘NAF’ Markovic recorded 22-23 with a 0.93 rating.

For Vitality, Shahar ‘flameZ’ Shushan led with 40-30 and a 1.29 rating. Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut was 26-27 with a 1.05 rating. Robin ‘ropz’ Kool finished 28-29 with a 0.83 rating, Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire went 22-37 with a 0.73 rating, and William ‘mezii’ Merriman ended 17-33 with a 0.63 rating.

Liquid made roster changes over the summer, moving on from Roland ‘ultimate’ Tomkowiak and Kamil ‘siuhy’ Szkaradek and adding JT and Jorko for the event.

After the match Jorko reacted on the post-match stream: ‘I’m still shocked, I can’t believe it.’

The result gives Liquid an opening victory in BLAST Bounty S2. Both teams have additional matches scheduled later in the event.
